The Haiku Series
This series is inspired by Haiku, a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, which traditionally evokes images of the natural world. There is a familiarity about the pieces being from the natural world, but not necessarily a direct imitation of it, and many are a comprised of two, three or more sculptural elements interacting with one another. Most of the pieces were developed from a haiku written by the artist in response to a season or event in the world at large.
